About The Position

Enterprise Mobility is hiring a part-time Automotive Detailer and Car Washer at its location at 2222 Paxton St, Harrisburg, PA 17111. The starting rate is $15.50 per hour based on a 25-hour workweek, with an increase to $16 per hour after six consecutive months of employment. The position prepares cars, trucks, and vans for customer rentals by cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and ensuring vehicles meet cleanliness and safety standards. The schedule is Sunday 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m., Monday 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday 8:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are off. The role may also involve assisting customers and transporting them to and from branches. Enterprise Mobility operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands, along with other mobility and transportation services. It and its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management manage a fleet of 2.4 million vehicles and a network of more than 9,500 staffed rental locations in over 90 countries and territories.

Requirements

Have a current and valid driver's license with no more than one moving violation and/or at-fault accident on the driving record within the past three years.
Have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past three years.
Be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars of different sizes, vans, and trucks.
Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer belongings and place valuables in Lost & Found; and verify vehicle registration.
Check fluid levels and add fluids as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; and inspect vehicles for exterior damage.
Fuel and stage vehicles.
Inspect vehicles for safety concerns and report warning lights or vehicle, windshield, or tire damage; remove vehicles from the preparation process as needed.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
Assist customers when needed and potentially transport customers to and from branches.
Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of branch interiors and exteriors, including desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, and the lot.
Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
