About The Position

The Automotive Service Technician performs automotive repairs and service accurately and in accordance with store and Chrysler factory standards, while ensuring customer satisfaction that meets or exceeds the customer satisfaction index. The role includes diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle systems, inspecting and test-driving vehicles, communicating additional service needs to the Service Advisor, estimating repair time, and completing warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.

Requirements

• Previous automotive repair and maintenance experience.
• Must have a set of tools.
• Chrysler/MOPAR experience or Chrysler/MOPAR manufacturer certification.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, alignment, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Perform vehicle inspections.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor so customers are informed about additional services needed.
• Estimate the time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
