About The Position

A growing, family-owned business is seeking an experienced, hard-working, self-motivated automotive mechanic who is a team player and willing to learn. The mechanic inspects and diagnoses vehicles, recommends repairs that address customer concerns, performs maintenance and repairs according to company procedures, and verifies work with test drives. The role offers paid on-the-job training and ASE certifications.

Requirements

• Meet or exceed standards set by industry-recognized trade organizations.
• Have some or limited training in automotive repair, with demonstrated ability and desire to learn and develop further.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have entry-level knowledge of computer equipment and applicable software applications.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test-drive each vehicle before service or repair.
• Inspect vehicles to diagnose issues and record findings.
• Recommend thorough repairs that resolve customer concerns.
• Perform oil changes and tire services as needed.
• Conduct repairs according to company procedures.
• Replace parts and components with high-quality parts.
• Confirm repairs and services with a thorough test drive.
