About The Position

The Automotive Body Shop Porter moves and cleans vehicles, keeps them in sound working condition, and supports the body shop as needed. The role includes driving vehicles between the body shop and parking lot, maintaining vehicle appearance, keeping lots and work areas orderly, and inspecting vehicles, parts, and equipment. No retail experience is necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to and from the body shop and parking lot as needed.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors to maintain inventory appearance.
• Keep body shop lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the body shop manager.
• Sweep, shovel, or vacuum loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and remove containers from work areas.
• Inspect parts, equipment, and vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
• Make key tags for vehicles.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
