About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, hourly position whose schedule is based on business needs. As a key holder, this role serves as manager on duty when the Store Manager is absent or business demand requires it. The Assistant Store Manager helps manage the operations of an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and Monro’s performance and profitability goals. The role helps ensure teammates deliver exceptional 5 Star service by communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions effectively and consistently meeting guests’ expectations for service timing and quality. The Assistant Store Manager also supports sales, customer satisfaction, store operations, workflow, inventory, and technician oversight.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Problem-solving, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service abilities.
Communication skills to communicate effectively with teammates and guests.
Complete all Monro-required training within the specified guidelines and timing.
Current valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Schedule guest appointments to optimize technician capabilities and complete vehicle services and repairs efficiently and on time.
Help achieve sales goals by informing guests about and recommending tire and service products and sales promotions.
Address guest needs involving sales, service, complaints, and adjustments.
Build guest relationships to maximize satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Assist technicians in communicating repair and service needs to guests.
Maintain the store in excellent condition, following Monro cleanliness standards and keeping it guest-ready.
Assist with inventory management, including overseeing the pulling of tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
Provide direction and oversight to technicians and assist with services and repairs as needed.
Help organize store workflow so technician skill levels are used efficiently and vehicle services and repairs are completed effectively and on time according to Monro operating standards.
Follow company policies and procedures and applicable governmental standards, including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA standards.
Consistently use required safety standards established through training, policies, and procedures.
Perform Store Manager functions when business needs dictate.
Complete other duties as assigned and required by the direct supervisor.
