We are seeking a motivated Automotive Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will assist with inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks while developing hands-on skills and learning technical knowledge. This position is ideal for someone pursuing a career in mechanical trades and eager to learn in a practical, fast-paced environment. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (no weekends). Location: Goffs, NS. No heavy engine or transmission overhauls. Perform light mechanical inspections and repairs (brakes, batteries, lights, belts, fluid changes). Requirements

  • Strong interest in mechanics and hands-on technical work
  • Basic understanding of tools, engines, or mechanical systems (preferred but not required)
  • Full-time or part-time apprenticeship
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required
  • High school diploma or working toward completion

Responsibilities

  • Assist with diagnostics, repairs, and scheduled maintenance
  • Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, tire service, and fluid checks
  • Receive hands-on training from experienced technicians
  • Help inspect vehicles for wear, damage, or safety concerns
  • Learn to use tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment correctly and safely
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop area
  • Follow instructions and safety protocols at all times
  • Document work performed and report findings to supervisors
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs
