About The Position

The Automotive Acquisition Specialist acquires additional dealership inventory by purchasing vehicles from customers. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience, managing expectations, and communicating with customers throughout the We'll Buy Your Car process. The associate works to meet the program’s “check within an hour” promise. The position offers flexible hours and hourly pay plus a bonus for each vehicle purchased. The stated pay range is $3,500 to $12,000 per month. The job description is intended to provide a representative summary of major duties and responsibilities. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Extremely self-motivated.
Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
Ability to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Demonstrated communication, prospecting, and interpersonal skills.
Organization and follow-up skills.
Experience and desire to work with technology.
Sound judgment, research skills, and excellent interpersonal skills to make offers on vehicles.
Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.
Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

Respond to incoming leads through AutoNation and third-party websites, by phone, internet, and walk-in traffic.
Use available resources to identify and engage private parties interested in selling their vehicles.
Schedule appointments for potential customers to visit the dealership for an appraisal.
Execute the AutoNation We'll Buy Your Car Same-Day Payment process.
Review vehicle condition reports and inspect vehicles onsite.
Interact with customers throughout the day, in person and over the phone.
Refer customers who prefer to trade in their vehicles to the sales team.
Work to deliver the program’s “check within an hour” promise.
