About The Position

The Automotive Account Biller, also described in the posting as a Billing and Compliance Clerk, reviews and verifies customer vehicle-purchase documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with Asbury guidelines. The role processes deal paperwork and accounting transactions, communicates with the Accounting Manager to resolve issues, and completes work with appropriate urgency and attention to deadlines. The position is at Coggin Honda of Orlando, part of Asbury Automotive Group.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in a busy office environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and comfort working in an open office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screens.

• Automotive accounting experience.
• CDK experience.

Responsibilities

• Examine contracts to ensure they conform to specified requirements.
• Review and verify deal paperwork and deal jackets against Asbury compliance guidelines.
• Review deals in the deal queue for errors.
• Verify that all documents are signed and completed accurately.
• Process paperwork in a timely manner.
• Reconcile schedules.
• Post new and used deals to the accounting books.
• Issue lien-payoff checks and submit them to financial institutions.
• Communicate and resolve issues with the Accounting Manager.
• Post corrections daily when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
• Meet deadlines and apply an appropriate sense of urgency to tasks.
