About The Position

The Automobile Dismantler safely and efficiently removes high-quality auto parts and usable core parts from vehicles. The role involves dismantling vehicles within suggested time constraints, checking parts for quality and type, and labeling and tagging parts for stock. The employee must own and maintain the tools needed to perform the work and may be assigned other duties. This position does not supervise employees and follows procedures and priorities provided by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Hands-on automotive repair experience.
• May be required to have a personal set of tools needed to carry out the duties.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records.
• Ability to follow clear directions, procedures, and guidance from a supervisor or manager.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle vehicles within suggested time constraints while following safety practices.
• Label and tag parts for placement into stock.
• Check the quality and product type of parts.
• Own and maintain the tools necessary to perform the duties, as required.
