About The Position

Carvana is seeking an entry-level Auto Technician with at least six months of professional automotive repair experience. The technician performs light maintenance and fluid checks and/or conducts initial vehicle inspections to identify imperfections or repairs needed during reconditioning. The role is based at Carvana’s Inspection Center in Tracy, California, and uses state-of-the-art tools in a high-tech facility. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level technicians so their skills and pay can progress with the company. The position offers a pay range of $20.00–$23.00 per hour, with starting pay of $20 per hour. Two schedules are offered: Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m., or Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m.–3 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least six months of professional automotive repair experience.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities
