About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Painter, described as a Mid-Level Painter, to work in a vehicle Reconditioning Center. The role requires at least three years of professional automotive painting experience. The painter matches and mixes paint colors and uses water-based paint to paint vehicles inside paint booths. Carvana describes its Inspection Centers as high-tech facilities equipped with state-of-the-art tools. The position may require mandatory overtime based on business needs to help deliver vehicles as expected. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Some positions may be subject to a motor vehicle records check.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Pass a complete background check.
