About The Position

Caliber is hiring an Auto Body Technician at its Service Center on 2nd Ave in Des Moines. The technician performs collision repairs, from fender damage to frame rebuilds, and works to restore vehicles to factory specifications. The role involves blueprinting and completing repairs accurately, performing panel and structural work, reassembling vehicles to meet quality standards, collaborating with the team, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The position offers a flag rate of up to $20–$30, paid weekly, along with opportunities for career growth and training, including I-CAR and ASE certifications. Benefits begin on day one and include medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) match. Paid time off begins accruing on the first day, and employees receive six company-wide holidays each year.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience repairing collision-damaged vehicles.
• Knowledge of frame and structural repair, including pulling, straightening, and squaring components.
• Commitment to following repair procedures and completing repairs correctly the first time.
• Attention to detail, including with bolts and welds.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Collaborative, team-first attitude.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• I-CAR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Blueprint and complete collision repairs accurately and without shortcuts.
• Perform full collision repairs, from fender benders to frame rebuilds.
• Perform panel and structural repairs and restore damaged areas to factory specifications.
• Reassemble vehicles with attention to fit and finish.
• Collaborate with painters, estimators, front office staff, and other team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
