This position offers a $5,000 New Hire Signing Bonus. The Auto Body Repair Technician inspects damaged vehicles and assesses repair requirements, including structural, body, and cosmetic damage. They prepare vehicles for body repair work, perform body repairs such as dent removals, fixing body lines, and plastic welding. The technician will repair, restore, and refinish damaged vehicle bodies to return them to factory or pre-accident condition. This includes removing, repairing, or replacing damaged components such as bumpers, fenders, doors, panels, and trims. Surfaces are prepared for painting by sanding, masking, priming, and applying fillers. Guide Coat, Primer, and Bondo are utilized during all processes. The role ensures proper alignment of panels, gaps, and body lines, and requires knowledge in operating stud welding equipment. The technician follows repair orders accurately and completes all assigned work within established timeframes, maintaining high-quality workmanship by adhering to company standards and OEM repair procedures. Quality control inspections are conducted to ensure repairs meet safety and appearance standards. The role also involves keeping the work area clean and organized, maintaining tools and equipment, and communicating effectively with supervisors, estimators, and team members regarding repair progress and issues. Following all safety guidelines and environmental regulations is crucial.
