About The Position

Carvana is hiring an entry-level Auto Body Repair Technician to prepare vehicles for paint at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The role involves sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and tear down, and buffing. Training programs are offered for entry-level employees to help their skills and pay progress.

The position is scheduled for second shift, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., and may be subject to overtime. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, taping, and bagging.
• Unbag and tear down vehicles as needed.
• Buff vehicles.
