About The Position

Carvana is hiring an entry-level Auto Body Repair Technician, described as an Auto Body Prepper, to prepare vehicles for paint at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work includes sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging and tear down, and buffing. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees so their skills and pay can progress with the company.

The role takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Employees must use appropriate safety equipment. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs to help meet customer commitments.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license; some positions may require a motor vehicle records check.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Use of safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, taping, and bagging.
• Unbag vehicles and perform tear down.
