About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Auto Body Repair Technician, described as an autobody prepper, to prepare vehicles for customers at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The role involves light bodywork such as prepping, sanding, and buffing vehicles; removing and installing bumpers; minor plastic welding; and small-area bodywork, including Bondo repair. Entry-level employees may receive training programs to help their skills and pay progress.

The position is in a fast-paced, changing production environment. Employees may sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold and must use appropriate safety equipment. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive bodywork experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sand, and buff vehicles.
