About The Position

The Auditor, Quality Assurance performs system, process, and product audits of the Quality Management System (QMS). The role provides oversight and assistance across the organization, focusing primarily on Production, Customer Support and Training (including MRO), Engineering, and Procurement. The auditor works with departmental process owners to evaluate containment and corrective action plans and proactively recommends opportunities to improve products and services. The position reports to the Manager, Quality Assurance and has no direct reports.

Requirements

• One to three years of aerospace quality experience.
• Fundamental understanding of quality systems and their development, documentation, and implementation to domestic and international standards or requirements.
• Understanding of product and service quality evaluation and control principles.
• Basic understanding of the audit process, including audit types, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up.
• Understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques.
• Ability to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
• Ability to identify, describe, and apply corrective action elements, including problem identification, failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem correction, recurrence control, and verification of effectiveness.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, or a high school diploma combined with relevant work experience in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic, independent, and documented audits by obtaining audit evidence and objectively evaluating it against audit criteria.
• Review and analyze previous findings for risk mitigation.
• Work with departmental process owners to evaluate containment and corrective action plans.
• Proactively recommend opportunities to improve products and services.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of the company mission, values, goals, and quality policy.
