About The Position
Cherry Bekaert is seeking an Audit Senior for its Coral Gables or Fort Lauderdale office. This is a hybrid role. The Audit Senior contributes to audit engagements by developing audit approaches, discussing engagement efficiencies and client-specific risks, and instructing and overseeing A&A staff. The role also includes reviewing complex client transactions to broaden technical knowledge, preparing or reviewing financial statements, completing general audit procedures, and researching technical issues using online tools. Additional engagement duties may be assigned by supervisory personnel.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in public accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- CPA certification or eligibility to work toward obtaining a CPA license.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated passion for superior client service, uncompromising integrity, project management, and leadership.
- Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Engagement.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Most industry experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Discuss engagement efficiencies and client-specific risks.
- Develop the audit approach for engagement teams.
- Instruct and oversee fellow A&A staff throughout engagements.
- Broaden technical knowledge through review of complex client transactions.
- Prepare and/or review financial statements.
- Complete general audit procedures, including coordinating audit closing communications, drafting client correspondence, and resolving open items.
- Research technical issues using online tools.
- Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.
