About The Position

Provide real-time support to faculty, staff, and students in operating classroom audiovisual systems and related instructional technology. Manage inventory and maintain documentation for equipment used in classrooms.

The position also provides dedicated in-person classroom support for special events and room rentals as required, and assists with scheduling and reservations for video conference-capable classrooms.

Requirements

• Some college courses, or a high school diploma and training in a related field.
• At least 6 months of experience and/or training in a computer-related field, including hardware, software, and networking.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the principles of audiovisual technology.

Responsibilities

• Triage classroom issues and support requests; report major failures to senior personnel for repair or replacement as necessary.
• Manage audiovisual inventory, including installed classroom equipment, on-hand spares, and items available for checkout upon request.
• Create and maintain classroom-operation documentation, including in-room quick reference sheets, website guides, and installation manuals.
• Provide dedicated in-person classroom support for special events and room rentals as required.
• Assist with scheduling and reservation of video conference-capable classrooms.
