About The Position

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Audiovisual Designer/Consultant with five or more years of experience to join its Seattle Area team in the Acoustical department. The role plans and conducts work requiring independent judgment to evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard audiovisual systems for acoustical environments. The consultant independently handles most assignments based on general expected results, and plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of professional work on major projects or projects of moderate scope. The role may supervise or coordinate other professionals assisting with specific assignments. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Requirements

• Degree in Audio Engineering, Acoustical Engineering, IT Networking, Computer Science, or another related field.
• At least five years of professional experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Audiovisual Design, or AV integration.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical-thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Contribute positively to office and department goals, culture, and morale.

Nice To Haves

• Limited Energy Electrical License, CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification.
• Potential for special licensing, advanced credentials, or other additional certifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities
