About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA disability benefits process. The Audiologist reviews Veterans’ medical records uploaded to a secure computer portal, conducts Maryland CNC and Puretone Audiometric tests, and completes a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the portal. The resulting medical documentation is used by the VA to determine eligibility for benefits. The role does not involve prescribing medical treatments or devices; disability determinations are made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, not the provider. This is an in-person role in Pocatello, Idaho, with a Monday–Thursday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and an average caseload of 3–6 Veterans per day. A computer and necessary documentation tools are provided. The role includes training and ongoing support and has no on-call duties.

Requirements

Hold an Au.D. and have graduated from an ASHA-accredited school.
Hold a current Audiologist license.
Be comfortable using technology to review records and complete documentation.
Have strong analytical skills to review medical records and assessment data.
Have excellent time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Have a professional and empathetic demeanor when interacting with Veterans.
