About The Position

Turing is seeking an English voice actor for a multi-speaker diarization project. The role involves participating in natural, unscripted group conversations on assigned topics across various domains. Speakers interact with others and contribute realistic, engaging discussion, using appropriate emotion, personality, and tone. This is a group conversation task, not a solo recording, individual speech sample, or one-person assignment. The speaker must attend the assigned session at the exact date, time, and time zone, and actively participate for its full duration. Discussions should follow topic guidance and remain interactive rather than scripted or delivered as formal speeches. The role is offered as a flexible freelance agreement, not as full-time or part-time employment. The work is fully remote and may offer contract extension depending on performance and project needs.

Requirements

Be comfortable speaking and interacting in a group conversation.
Be available for the full assigned session at its exact date, time, and time zone.
Be willing to speak and contribute actively throughout the session; simply joining and remaining silent is not acceptable.
Be able to follow instructions and discuss topics naturally without using a script.
Provide the required recording environment and microphone setup.
Use a proper external microphone with wired headphones, preferred; a good-quality wired headset with built-in microphone is acceptable if it provides clear, muffle-free audio. A basic or low-quality headset alone is insufficient.
Do not use laptop speakers, Bluetooth earphones, or open speakers during recording.
Use the same microphone, headphones, and device for the session as for the audio sample submitted with the application.
Record in a quiet room without TV, music, fan noise, traffic, pets, or other people talking.
Position the microphone consistently and speak clearly at a natural volume; avoid echo, reverb, distortion, clipping, typing, tapping, or handling the device near the microphone.

Responsibilities

Speak regularly, respond to others, ask and answer questions, and contribute a fair share of the conversation.
Follow topic guidance and keep the discussion interactive rather than reading a script or giving a formal speech.
Use natural conversational reactions, including brief overlaps and backchannels when appropriate.
Provide clear, natural speech and convey appropriate emotion, personality, and tone.
Record in a quiet room and use the required microphone and recording setup.
