About The Position

Turing is seeking an English voice actor for a multi-speaker diarization project. The role involves participating in natural, unscripted group conversations on assigned topics across various domains. Speakers respond to one another and contribute to realistic discussions, using appropriate emotion, personality, and tone. This is a group conversation task, not a solo recording or individual speech sample. The selected speaker must attend the assigned session at its exact date, time, and time zone, and actively contribute for the full session. The recording must take place in a quiet room using a suitable microphone and headphones, with the same device and audio setup used for the application audio sample. Turing describes this as a flexible freelance agreement, not full-time or part-time employment. Contract extension may be possible depending on performance and project needs.

Requirements

Comfortable speaking and interacting in a group conversation.
Available for the full assigned session at the specified date, time, and time zone.
Willing to speak and contribute actively throughout the session.
Able to follow instructions and discuss topics naturally without using a script.
Able to provide the required recording environment and microphone setup.
Use a proper external microphone with wired headphones, or a good-quality wired headset with a built-in microphone that provides clear, muffle-free audio.
Do not use a basic or low-quality headset alone, laptop speakers, Bluetooth earphones, or open speakers during recording.
Record in a quiet room without TV, music, fan noise, traffic, pets, or other people talking.
Avoid echo, reverb, distortion, clipping, typing, tapping, or handling the device near the microphone.

Nice To Haves

A proper external microphone with wired headphones is preferred.

Responsibilities

Join the assigned session at the exact date, time, and time zone provided.
Discuss assigned topics naturally with the other speakers.
Speak regularly, respond to others, ask and answer questions, and contribute a fair share of the conversation.
Follow topic guidance and keep the discussion interactive rather than reading a script or delivering a formal speech.
Use natural conversational reactions, including brief overlaps and backchannels when appropriate.
Provide clear, natural speech and convey appropriate emotion, personality, and tone.
Record in a quiet room, position the microphone consistently, and speak clearly at a natural volume.
Use the same microphone, headphones, and device for the session as for the application audio sample.
