About The Position

The Audio Visual Technician sets up, operates, and removes audiovisual equipment on a day-to-day basis while providing positive, face-to-face service to meeting customers and hotel staff. Depending on qualifications, the role may also involve setting up, operating, and striking higher-end event equipment, including intelligent lighting, digital audio consoles, and HD projection and video-switching systems. The position calls for flexibility, safe work practices, a service-oriented attitude, energy, and a positive approach. The technician must be able to spend at least eight hours a day on their feet, lift at least 25 pounds above waist height, and travel to other venues. MAC and Windows experience is needed; high-speed networking knowledge is a plus. Availability is required Monday through Sunday, days and nights.

Requirements

• Experience with basic audiovisual equipment and systems, including flipcharts, microphones, laptops, breakout projection, screens, static lighting, analog audio mixers, and speakers.
• MAC and Windows experience.
• Ability to spend at least eight hours a day on their feet.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds above waist height.
• Ability to travel to other venues.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record over the past three years if driving a company vehicle is required.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of digital audio mixers, intelligent lighting, networking, advanced switching, and HD projection.
• Live-event or hotel experience.
