About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Foreman to oversee the installation and maintenance of structured cabling, voice/data, and AV systems on commercial and industrial job sights in the Clearwater, FL area. This role is responsible for supervising field crews, ensuring high-quality installations, and maintaining compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry codes.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in structured cabling, low voltage, or AV installation
Prior experience in a Foreman or Lead Technician role
Strong knowledge of fiber optics, copper cabling, and AV system installation
Experience with Fluke testing and certification
Ability to lead crews on active commercial construction sites
Familiarity with TIA/EIA standards and NEC code requirements
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead daily activities of V/D technicians and installers.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and construction drawings.
Install, terminate, test, and label copper and fiber optic cabling.
Plan and manage labor, materials, and equipment required for assigned projects.
Ensure all work meets TIA/EIA standards, NEC code, and other local and safety regulations.
Conduct quality control inspections and testing using certification tools (e.g., Fluke testers).
Coordinate with general contractors, electricians, and other trades.
Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, material usage, and crew hours.
Train and mentor crew members on best practices and safety procedures.
Communicate project updates, risks, and delays to the Project Managers or Superintendents.
