About The Position

The Audio-Visual Manager manages the operations of the Audio-Visual department at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. The role partners with Convention Sales to develop proposals and bids based on client and event requirements, while operating in a for-profit environment and ensuring guest service exceeds expectations. As a member of the leadership team, the manager guides, supports, and inspires associates and delivers seamless, high-quality technology experiences for meetings, conferences, and events across the resort and convention center. This includes ensuring reliable equipment, expert technical support, and smooth event execution.

Requirements

At least two years of AV Management experience in a significant convention center or large hotel with over 500 rooms.
In-depth knowledge of AV systems, including sound, video, lighting, projection, and video conferencing equipment.
Understanding of how AV systems integrate with IT infrastructure and networking systems.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in audio-visual technology, communications, or a related discipline is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

Manage the operations of the Audio-Visual department.
Partner with Convention Sales to produce proposals and bids based on client and event requirements.
Ensure all AV equipment is maintained, operational, and ready for events, including sound systems, projectors, lighting, and video conferencing tools.
Collaborate with event planners, clients, and staff to understand AV needs and ensure seamless technology integration.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues to deliver high-quality service to guests.
Guide, support, and inspire associates as part of the leadership team.
Ensure reliable equipment, expert technical support, and smooth event execution for meetings, conferences, and events throughout the resort and convention center.
