About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio-Visual Manager to manage the operations of the Audio-Visual department. The manager partners with Convention Sales to produce proposals and bids based on client and event requirements, while operating in a for-profit environment and ensuring guest service exceeds expectations. As part of the leadership team, the Audio-Visual Manager guides, supports, and inspires associates while delivering high-quality technology experiences for meetings, conferences, and events throughout the resort and convention center. The role ensures reliable equipment, expert technical support, and smooth event execution to enhance the guest experience and support associates in delivering exceptional service.

Requirements

At least two years of AV Management experience in a significant convention center or large hotel with more than 500 rooms.
In-depth knowledge of AV systems, including sound, video, lighting, projection, and video conferencing equipment.
Understanding of how AV systems integrate with IT infrastructure and networking systems.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in audio-visual technology, communications, or a related discipline is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

Manage the operations of the Audio-Visual department.
Partner with Convention Sales to produce proposals and bids based on client and event requirements.
Ensure AV equipment is maintained, operational, and ready for events, including sound systems, projectors, lighting, and video conferencing tools.
Collaborate with event planners, clients, and staff to understand AV needs and integrate technology into events.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality service for guests.
Guide, support, and inspire associates as part of the leadership team.
Ensure reliable equipment, expert technical support, and smooth event execution for meetings, conferences, and events throughout the resort and convention center.
