About The Position

The Audio Visual Helper will assist experienced technicians with the installation, testing, and maintenance of Audio Visual, data, voice, networking, and fiber optic systems on commercial job sites. The Audio Visual Helper will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction site safety.
  • Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Tampa Bay Area.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and enhances productivity in the workplace.
  • Well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with various external customers including government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the company.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Previous construction, electrical, low-voltage, or Audio Visual experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist technicians with the installation of Audio Visual, data, voice, network, and fiber optic cabling systems.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Pull, route, label, and organize low-voltage cabling.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with mounting displays, speakers, cameras, racks, and other A/V equipment.
  • Working flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.
