About The Position

The Car Porter assists employees at an auto dealership and helps make the customer experience easier. The role requires trustworthiness and responsibility when handling vehicles, as well as flexibility across responsibilities. Duties include moving and presenting vehicles, cleaning and maintaining them, keeping the lot clean, checking that vehicles start and have no apparent issues, and running errands for dealership departments.

Responsibilities

• Move vehicles to different locations on the dealership lot as needed.
• Bring vehicles to prospective buyers as part of providing customer service.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors.
• Perform maintenance tasks, such as topping off vehicle fluids.
• Place stickers and signs on vehicles.
• Clean the dealership parking lot, including picking up trash and removing snow or ice.
• Start vehicles regularly and check that there are no issues with them.
• Run errands for sales, parts, and auto body departments.
