About The Position

The Auction Support Specialist I works on-site at a Cox Automotive location to support live auction operations. The role tracks bids, verifies vehicle and customer information, and processes transactions in real time to help ensure auction sales are accurate and organized. The specialist works virtually with the auctioneer and uses the AS400 system and Salesforce to support auction and title-processing activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Previous block clerk experience.
• Auction experience.
• Automotive industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter lane and Simulcast bid amounts, customer data, sold units, and sale lights using the AS400 system.
• Partner virtually with the auctioneer to confirm vehicle and sale information.
• Verify run orders to ensure the correct vehicles are processed and sold.
• Monitor Simulcast activity and communicate live updates to the auctioneer.
• Provide arbitration notes and other key vehicle announcements to support the auctioneer during sales.
• Follow up on late titles by phone and email.
• Support title-absent processing using Salesforce.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
