About The Position

Cox Automotive is hiring a part-time Auction Support Specialist I to support live auction operations at a specified Cox Automotive location. The role helps keep auction sales accurate and organized by tracking bids, verifying vehicle and customer information, and processing transactions in real time. The specialist works virtually with the auctioneer and monitors Simulcast activity to provide timely updates and ensure sales proceed smoothly.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. The position generally requires less than two years of experience. Previous block clerk, auction, or automotive industry experience is preferred. The role involves standing, walking, talking, and hearing; lifting up to 10 pounds; and occasional exposure to fumes, odors, and varying weather conditions. A pre-employment drug test is required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Generally less than 2 years of experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must clear a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Enter lane and Simulcast bid amounts, customer data, sold units, and sale lights using the AS400 system.
• Partner virtually with the auctioneer to confirm vehicle and sale information is accurate.
• Verify run orders to ensure the correct vehicles are being processed and sold.
• Monitor Simulcast activity and communicate live updates with the auctioneer.
• Provide arbitration notes and other key vehicle announcements to support the auctioneer during sales.
• Follow up on late titles by phone and email.
• Support title-absent processing using Salesforce.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
