About The Position

Hershey’s Chocolate World is the most popular brand experience in the world, attracting nearly four million guests annually to its location in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Guests visit to experience attractions, dine in the food court, and shop for souvenirs, treats, and gifts. Exceptional customer service is key to the guest experience, and the mission is to create extraordinary impressions through its people. This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with work hours primarily during the summer and fall. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.

Requirements

Must maintain a neat appearance, meet the uniform standards, and follow the Good Manufacturing Practices Guidelines provided at hire.
Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 30 pounds.
Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours.
Ability to bend, stoop, and twist.
Must be capable of vocal performance for a period of 30-60 minutes at a time.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, fellow coworkers, and function effectively as part of a team.
Must have basic computer skills.
Customer service skills.
Teamwork skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills.
Leadership/ability to take initiative.
Minimum 16 years of age or older.
Availability for Friday evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

Greeting and interacting with guests in the Create Your Own Candy Bar (CYOCB) attraction by providing customer service.
Assisting guests through the process of “creating their own bar” on an actual factory manufacturing line.
Cleaning and replenishing the assembly line machines and supplies.
Scanning guests’ entry tickets to the attraction.
Assisting guests on the candy bar wrapper computers.
Having a general knowledge of the machinery and candy-making process.
Demonstrating the Customer Service Pledge: being approachable, courteous, initiating contact with guests, listening to guests and providing for their needs, and providing a genuine Thank You.
Memorizing a short script and speaking clearly to an audience.
