About The Position

Hershey’s Chocolate World is the most popular brand experience in the world, attracting nearly four million guests annually to its location in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Guests visit to experience attractions, enjoy dining, and shop for souvenirs. Exceptional customer service is key to the guest experience, and the mission is to create extraordinary impressions through people. This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with hours primarily in the summer and fall. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.

Requirements

Must maintain a neat appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25-50 pounds.
Must be able to provide physical support (assist guests needing balance assistance while stepping on and off the turntable and provide stability on the moving turntable).
Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours.
Pushing wheelchairs may be required.
Ability to bend, stoop, and twist.
Must be able to tolerate the motion of the constantly moving turntable for the entire shift.
Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and function effectively as part of a team.
Customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership/ability to take initiative.
Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
Minimum age: 16 years of age or older.
Requires availability for Friday evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.

Nice To Haves

General retail knowledge is a plus.
Attraction or ride experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greeting and welcoming guests.
Assisting with entry and exit of the tour ride cars.
Ensuring guests' safety by providing physical support on the continuously moving turntable of Hershey’s Chocolate Tour.
Helping with the entry and exit of families with guests in wheelchairs.
Being approachable, courteous, and knowledgeable about products.
Clearly communicating with guests and assisting them with questions.
Providing general information to guests with a high level of professionalism.
Rotating throughout various areas and scheduled at different locations on the Tour Ride (main entrance, turntable, exit ramp).
Demonstrating the Customer Service Pledge.
Initiating contact with guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile.
Listening to customers and providing information to assist them.
Maintaining all safety standards.
Assisting VIP employees with families of guests in wheelchairs as they enter and exit the tour ride.
