About The Position

This is a part-time position at the Kansas City Residence Inn. The role involves preparing, presenting, and maintaining complimentary breakfast and/or evening reception services. Key aspects include ensuring cleanliness and stock levels of service areas, interacting positively with guests, and following food safety standards. The position emphasizes teamwork and a willingness to assist in various service areas.

Requirements

Great attitude and love for teamwork.
Restaurant, customer service, or cashier experience preferred.
Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications (or willingness to obtain within 60 days).
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs during your shift.
Flexible availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Prepare, present, and maintain complimentary breakfast and/or evening reception.
Keep buffets, service areas, tables, and equipment clean and stocked.
Greet guests with a friendly, helpful attitude and handle questions or concerns professionally.
Assist with light food prep, restocking, bussing tables, or supporting bar/service areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
Monitor food quality, proper storage, and temperature standards.
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service.
Communicate key updates during shift changes.
Follow all safety, security, and company policies, and report any issues.
