About The Position

Praecipio is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Atlassian consultant to partner with its professional services team. This client-facing role calls for deep expertise across the Atlassian ecosystem and a track record of leading complex enterprise-level projects. The architect will design, implement, and optimize Atlassian solutions aligned with clients’ strategic business goals, combining strong technical expertise with effective communication and stakeholder management. The role involves leading client discovery and solution design; architecting and executing enterprise migrations; building integrations across Atlassian products and third-party tools; configuring Atlassian applications; assessing and optimizing client environments; and advising clients throughout engagements. The architect will also mentor junior colleagues, contribute to Praecipio’s internal knowledge base, and stay current with Atlassian products and industry best practices. The work is intended to help clients improve visibility into their value streams, make data-driven decisions, connect strategy to execution, and build enterprise-wide business agility.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an Atlassian Engineer or Architect in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience planning and executing complex migrations for Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket, including Server-to-Cloud, Data Center-to-Cloud, and instance consolidations.
Extensive experience with tooling and advanced configuration of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence, including schemes, workflows, and permissions.
Expertise designing and implementing integrations using marketplace apps and custom solutions via REST APIs.
Strong understanding of Agile (including SAFe and Scrum), DevOps, and ITSM/ITIL frameworks.
Experience with scripting languages such as Groovy or Python to automate tasks and extend Atlassian tool functionality.
Exceptional technical acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Atlassian Certified in Jira Project Administration (ACP-JPA).
Atlassian Certified in Jira Administration for Cloud (ACP-JCA) or Data Center (ACP-JAD).
Atlassian Certified in Agile Development with Jira Software (ACP-JSW).
Atlassian Certified in Jira Service Management (ACP-JSM).
Atlassian Certified System Administrator (ACP-ASA).
Other relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, PMP, or SAFe Agilist.
Experience with marketplace apps such as ScriptRunner, eazyBI, Structure, and Xray.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery sessions with client stakeholders to understand business requirements, pain points, and processes.
Translate client needs into scalable, robust, best-practice solutions across the Atlassian suite, including Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Architect, plan, and execute complex Atlassian migrations, including server-to-cloud, data center-to-cloud, and tool consolidation projects.
Manage migration lifecycle activities, including pre-migration assessment and planning, execution, data validation, and post-migration support.
Design and implement integrations between Atlassian products and third-party tools, using REST APIs, webhooks, and marketplace apps to create automated workflows.
Configure Atlassian applications, including project schemes, workflows, custom fields, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notifications.
Develop and deploy solutions supporting Agile, ITSM/ITIL, DevOps, and other business methodologies.
Assess client Atlassian environments for performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities; recommend ways to improve stability, usability, and governance.
Build client relationships as a trusted advisor, explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, and manage project scope, expectations, and timelines.
Contribute to Praecipio’s internal knowledge base and mentor junior team members.
Stay current with Atlassian product updates, features, and industry best practices.
