About The Position

The Athletics Gameday Manager serves as the lead administrator of the facility during school-hosted athletic events. The manager oversees facility support and event operations, manages crowds, and helps foster a safe, welcoming environment for students, families, and other attendees. The role aligns actions with district and school values and core priorities, and is evaluated on the efficacy of those aligned actions.

This is a classified, non-exempt, hourly Level 2 position. Contracted days and hours vary. The position reports to the Principal and District Youth Athletics Coordinator.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of athletic event management and facility operations.
• Knowledge of district safety policies and regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Ability to manage crowds in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds or less.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in event management, athletics programming, or youth development.
• Current CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead administrator of the facility during assigned athletic events.
• Ensure proper facility support coverage for gate, concessions, official book, and clock operations.
• Manage crowd control and promote a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for attendees.
• Ensure compliance with district facility-use policies and safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot event challenges to support a positive experience for participants.
• Serve as an on-site liaison between school administration, coaches, and attendees.
• Demonstrate professional leadership and integrity and maintain an appropriate professional appearance.
• Perform other duties consistent with the position as requested by the Principal or District Youth Athletics Coordinator.
