Athletics Coach- Soccer

About The Position

Aspire Public Schools is seeking a part-time Soccer Coach at Aspire Lionel Wilson College Preparatory Academy. The coach provides students with a high-quality, personalized athletic experience while upholding Aspire’s mission and values. Aspire operates college-preparatory charter schools serving TK–12 scholars in California and aims to prepare students for success in college, career, and life. The coach organizes and manages student behavior so students remain engaged, supports a school-wide culture of high expectations and college preparation, and ensures athletes meet Aspire and BASCALS eligibility requirements. The role also involves coordinating with school administration, communicating with students and families about athletics and student progress, encouraging family involvement, and responsibly managing equipment and funds. The position pays $22.28 per hour. Requirements

High school diploma.
Relevant experience coaching interscholastic athletic teams.
At least 2 years working with students as a high school athletics coach.
Knowledge and experience coaching high school teams.
Knowledge of the sport being coached and league interaction.
Ability and willingness to reflect and improve.
Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community.
Demonstrated success with prior coaching.

Responsibilities

Organize and manage student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged.
Support a school-wide culture of high expectations, including college preparation for all students.
Ensure athletes comply with Aspire and BASCALS eligibility requirements, including scholastic, disciplinary, and attendance eligibility.
Work with administration to ensure compliance with school policies and practices.
Provide students and families with regular, timely information about athletics activities and student progress.
Find ways to involve parents and guardians in students’ athletic experience.
Demonstrate fiduciary responsibility in managing equipment and monies.
Support Aspire Public Schools’ mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and code of ethical behavior.
