About The Position

Assist in overseeing the administration of the Academics & Welfare of the student-athlete that adheres to all University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations while providing a safe and accepting environment for coaches, staff, and student-athletes to grow and develop academically, athletically and encourages personal responsibility, sportsmanship, and service to others.

Requirements

  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or 18 months to four years of work experience in a related field.
  • Two years to five years of experience.
  • Well-polished communication and interpersonal skills; excellent leadership and motivational skills; willing and able to drive 15 passenger vans.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and document academic progress of select teams and student-athletes.
  • Meet with coaches to discuss academic progress of select teams.
  • Maintain student rosters, compile and maintain grades in university systems and NCAA Compliance Assistant.
  • Assist the Assistant Athletic Director for NCAA Compliance and Director for Student-Athlete Services in ensuring, monitoring and maintaining NCAA Academic Eligibility, including Initial Eligibility and Continuing Eligibility.
  • Supervise study table and tutoring of select students.
  • Assist with registration and advising of student-athletes.
  • Assist with maintaining student-athlete academic center.
  • Assist in developing student-athlete service programming including but not limited to career development, financial literacy, mental health, welfare and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, etc.
  • Assist in developing, arranging and overseeing the community outreach initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
