Athletic Trainer
About The Position
Louisiana Tech Sports Medicine is seeking candidates for the positions of Associate Athletic Trainer & Assistant Athletic Trainer. This is a full-time, 12-month position with benefits, focusing on Volleyball & Softball. The primary function is to assist with the supervision and coordination of the University's overall sports medicine program. This includes injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of injuries, as well as short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The role also involves educating and counseling student-athletes, and managing athletics-related healthcare administration in consultation with and under the supervision of the Associate AD of Sports Medicine, Team Physician(s), and other qualified medical personnel. Specific responsibilities for the Assistant Athletic Trainer include supervising intern athletic trainers, maintaining accurate medical records for assigned sports, assisting in the supervision of athletic training room operations, and supporting team travel and other duties as assigned by the Associate AD of Sports Medicine.
Requirements
- Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
- NATABOC Certification.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure within the state of Louisiana.
- 1 year of directly related professional experience.
