The Athletic Trainer will primarily be functioning off-site at school athletic facilities and events, both home and away. Primary responsibilities would include injury prevention strategies for athletic teams, initial assessment and subsequent management of injuries to student-athletes, coordinate and supervise a student athletic trainer program, and communication/coordination with physicians, coaches, and other school and medical personnel. When in the Athletic Training Clinic, Comprehensive Bone and Joint Center, or a contracted school, the Athletic Trainer will perform a variety of duties related to patient care (i.e. injury assessment, supervise patient rehabilitation exercises, provide injury treatments, clerical functions, and miscellaneous tasks to enhance the delivery of care to patients, preparation of equipment and treatment areas, disinfection and cleaning of treatment areas).
