ATC Deployment Enablement Manager

Astreya•Remote, CO, CO
•$132,240 - $208,800

About The Position

The Datacenter Network Engineering (DNE) Air Traffic Control (ATC) Deployment Enablement Manager is the senior program leader accountable for translating approved DNE network designs and portfolio priorities into predictable execution across a data center fleet. The role owns end-to-end delivery for front-end fabric infrastructure and assigned DNE programs, including new builds, technology modifications, retrofits, capacity expansions, hardware refreshes, migrations, decommissions, and special projects. Accountability spans intake and planning through material readiness, site execution, validation, operational handoff, and closeout. This is primarily a program leadership role. The manager needs technical fluency to understand data center fabric dependencies, assess deployment packages, and lead informed discussions with engineers, but does not configure network equipment or replace DNE's design authority. The role creates clarity, sequences complex work, aligns teams without direct authority, and delivers committed outcomes across multiple sites. The position connects engineering, hardware supply, construction, logistics, site readiness, field execution, provisioning, and operations. It owns portfolio roadmaps and execution governance; validates scope, design artifacts, materials, dependencies, and site readiness; manages schedules, risks, changes, and resource tradeoffs; and communicates delivery status and decisions to stakeholders and leadership. It also improves deployment processes through reporting, automation, retrospectives, reusable playbooks, and team enablement. The role must be US-based, may require travel up to 15% for site visits, workshops, and deployment support, and requires flexibility to support global deployments and stakeholders across time zones. The stated base salary range is $132,240 to $208,800 USD. Astreya offers comprehensive benefits to regular, full-time employees, subject to applicable eligibility and plan terms.

  • Ability to read and question an EDP, BOM, MOP, deployment workflow, dependency map, and site-readiness package.
  • Ability to discuss hardware, optics, cabling, power, space, and site dependencies with engineers without performing the engineering work.
  • Experience operating in environments with evolving architectures, lifecycle retrofits, migrations, and first-of-a-kind deployment constraints.
  • Experience with hardware demand planning, BOM management, material allocation, purchase-order or pool tracking, logistics, and supply-risk mitigation.
  • Ability to connect supply status to schedule confidence and make evidence-based allocation recommendations.
  • Experience with project and engineering work-management tools.
  • Ability to build useful program metrics, dashboards, and automated reporting from imperfect operational data.
  • Demonstrated success simplifying workflows, eliminating manual toil, and improving execution through standardization or automation.
  • Strong attention to data quality, source-of-truth discipline, and decision traceability.
  • Must be US-based.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% for site visits, workshops, and deployment support.
  • Flexibility to support global deployments and stakeholders across time zones.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering data center network fabric at hyperscale or across a large fleet.
  • Familiarity with DNE planning and deployment tools.
  • Experience with front-end fabric deployments, technology modifications, network lifecycle programs, hardware migrations, or decommissions.
  • Experience partnering with construction, facilities, supply chain, logistics, field engineering, vendors, and operations.
  • Experience with AI-assisted workflow optimization, automated reporting, or program analytics.
  • PMP, PgMP, network, cloud, or data center certification.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program-management certification.
  • Network, cloud, or data center certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Build, own, and drive DNE's half-over-half execution roadmap across new builds, front-end fabric projects, technology modifications, retrofits, and special initiatives.
  • Translate approved plans and engineering priorities into an executable portfolio with defined scope, milestones, sequencing, resource needs, and committed dates.
  • Evaluate new demand against portfolio capacity, hardware availability, site readiness, and existing commitments; lead prioritization and resource tradeoff discussions.
  • Maintain a single portfolio view of planned, committed, active, at-risk, and completed work.
  • Own project intake and ensure each request has a clear objective, scope, priority, target sites, schedule, accountable engineering owner, and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate execution artifacts and dependencies before commitment, including the Engineering Design Package (EDP), statement of work, Bill of Materials (BOM), Method of Procedure (MOP), deployment workflow, site-specific requirements, and dependency map.
  • Confirm space, power, cabling, facilities, logistics, and site-access requirements are identified and owned; establish readiness gates and prevent false-start execution when critical inputs are missing.
  • Document assumptions, exceptions, unresolved decisions, and accountable owners for closing gaps.
  • Own execution from accepted intake through kickoff, material delivery, field installation, provisioning, validation, operational handoff, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules across engineering, deployment, construction, site teams, logistics, sourcing, vendors, and operations.
  • Lead kickoff calls, execution reviews, milestone checks, and decision forums with clear owners, due dates, and escalation paths.
  • Drive stage-gate completion and ensure downstream teams receive complete, timely, actionable handoffs; document acceptance criteria, defects, operational ownership, and residual risks before project closeout.
  • Own portfolio-level visibility into DNE hardware demand, supply, allocation, and deployment need-by dates; coordinate BOM validation, demand forecasting, purchase-order or pool allocation tracking, and material arrival at the Site Delivery Facility.
  • Identify shortages, substitutions, excess allocations, and late materials before they affect milestones; lead documented allocation tradeoffs across projects and regions.
  • Track emergency material requests and use recurring exceptions to improve BOM quality and intake readiness.
  • Maintain a risk and dependency register with schedule impact, mitigation, owner, due date, and escalation threshold.
  • Identify cross-domain dependencies involving INE, Network AI, backbone, optical, facilities, construction, logistics, and site operations.
  • Own programmatic change control for design, BOM, scope, priority, and schedule changes; propagate approved changes to schedules, material plans, workflows, trackers, and downstream teams.
  • Escalate decisions, resource constraints, and unresolved risks that threaten scope, schedule, quality, or operational readiness; coordinate SEV-related program actions and track permanent follow-up to closure.
  • Serve as the single point of program accountability for assigned DNE deployment portfolios and build partnerships across engineering, deployment, procurement, sourcing, site teams, PM/PC partners, vendors, and operations.
  • Drive decisions and accountability without direct authority using evidence, clear tradeoffs, and documented commitments; provide concise leadership updates and present delivery health, capacity readiness, material risk, and execution trends.
  • Maintain accurate execution data; use deployment dashboards and hardware trackers to confirm physical-model and material dependencies where applicable.
  • Partner with engineering teams to understand workflow readiness and execution status; build automated status reporting, portfolio scorecards, dependency views, and exception-based reporting.
