At-Risk Youth Coach (Mentor) - Ulster

Children•Kingston, NY

About The Position

Youth Coaches are integral members of the CFSI Team, working directly with at-risk youth to reduce the risk of out-of-home placements. They collaborate with youth and families in their homes and communities to identify strengths, set achievable goals, and foster connections to natural support and supportive networks. Through mentorship, they help youth build independent life skills and strengthen attachments to school, family, and community while linking them to mental health services, substance abuse treatment, employment opportunities, and pro-social activities. Familiar with the community they serve, Youth Coaches understand how Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) impact quality-of-life outcomes and risks for the youth they support. The CFSI team maintains manageable caseloads and works closely with schools, courts, and community partners to provide strength-based guidance and informed decision-making.
