About The Position

A professional, multi-skilled person dedicated to assisting with all aspects of medical practice, including administrative and clinical procedures, under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. The role serves patients of all age groups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Employees hired on or after February 15, 2018, must be graduates of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care fields.
• Skill in conflict resolution.
• Ability to use computers.
• Employees hired on or after August 1, 2021, must obtain medical assistant certification within six months of the date of hire or transfer into the position.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Less than one year of Medical Assistant experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• One year of Medical Assistant experience.
