About The Position

Candlewood Animal Hospital is hiring a part-time or full-time small animal veterinarian in New Milford, Connecticut. The hospital has served the community since 1979 and emphasizes individualized veterinary care, curiosity, compassion, teamwork, and a supportive environment. The role is open to experienced veterinarians and offers a 12-month mentorship program for new graduates or veterinarians transitioning fields.

The hospital provides in-house diagnostics, digital radiography, ultrasound, an oxygen cage, a portable anesthesia machine, and Phovia light therapy. It is PENNHIP certified, trained in pet rehabilitation, recognized as a Cat Friendly veterinary practice, and maintains relationships with emergency and specialty facilities for advanced care. Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Current DEA License or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Active Veterinary State License.
• USDA Accreditation or ability to obtain it upon hire.
