About The Position

IndeVets is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian in Des Moines, Iowa. This W-2 role offers a guaranteed salary, benefits, dedicated scheduling support, and the ability to choose preferred workdays. Veterinarians typically work four to five days per week, with schedules built in advance around their preferences by a scheduling coordinator. Additional shifts may be paid out or converted to PTO. The position involves practicing across a network of trusted partner hospitals and building relationships with hospital teams while gaining varied clinical experience. Where possible, schedules can include areas such as surgery, dentistry, emergency medicine, or urgent care.

Veterinarians practice independently with clinical autonomy and support from medical leadership, mentors, and a collaborative veterinary community. IndeVets also provides access to a veterinary social worker, continuing education, professional development, and opportunities for leadership and mentorship. Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program, or equivalent.
• Active veterinary license, or ability to obtain one.
• DEA and controlled substance license, as applicable.
• At least one year of clinical experience in a small animal setting.
• Confidence practicing independently.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities
