About The Position

IndeVets is hiring a full-time W-2 Associate Veterinarian to practice across a network of trusted hospital partners in the Des Moines, Iowa area. Veterinarians work 4–5 days per week and choose which days they prefer to work. A dedicated scheduling coordinator builds schedules in advance around those preferences and handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination. The position offers a guaranteed salary, with the option to take additional shifts for extra pay or convert them into additional PTO.

The veterinarian practices independently while receiving support from dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, a community of fellow veterinarians, and access to a veterinary social worker. The role offers clinical autonomy, varied experience across partner hospitals, and opportunities to include surgery, dentistry, emergency, or urgent-care shifts when possible. Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program, or equivalent.
• Active license or ability to obtain one.
• DEA and controlled substance license, as applicable.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in a small animal setting.
• Confidence practicing independently.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Practice veterinary medicine independently across a network of trusted hospital partners.
