About The Position
Kersting Veterinary Hospital is seeking a passionate, experienced Associate Veterinarian with a strong interest in exotic veterinary medicine to join its growing team in Chesterfield, Missouri. Avian experience is strongly preferred. The hospital is a fast-paced, multi-doctor practice caring for small animals, avian patients, and exotic companions. Its services include preventive medicine, surgery, in-house diagnostics, digital full-body and dental radiology, exotic and avian medicine, and boarding. The role offers the opportunity to practice progressive veterinary medicine with medical autonomy and collaborative support. The hospital provides mentorship, technology, and resources to support veterinarians’ professional growth, as well as potential future ownership opportunities. The position includes a sign-on bonus of up to $100,000, with additional relocation and student loan assistance available.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Active veterinary state license, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Current DEA license, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- USDA accreditation, or ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Experience or proficiency in general medicine and surgery.
- Strong interest in exotic veterinary medicine.
