About The Position
Kersting Veterinary Hospital is seeking a passionate, experienced Associate Veterinarian with a strong interest in exotic veterinary medicine to join its growing, multi-doctor practice in Chesterfield, Missouri. Avian experience is strongly preferred. The hospital cares for small animals, avian patients, and exotic companions, and provides preventive medicine, surgery, in-house diagnostics, digital full-body and dental radiology, exotic and avian medicine, and boarding services. The ideal candidate is compassionate, relationship-driven, collaborative, confident in client communication, proficient in general medicine and surgery, and eager to continue developing in exotic and avian veterinary medicine. The role offers medical autonomy alongside collaborative support, mentorship, and opportunities for future ownership.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Active veterinary state license, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- Current DEA license, or ability to obtain one upon hire.
- USDA accreditation, or ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Experience in general medicine and surgery.
- Compassionate, collaborative, relationship-driven approach and strong communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Avian experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong interest in exotic veterinary medicine.
