About The Position

QPS, LLC is hiring an Associate Scientist I for its Bioanalytical department. The role supports the expansion of bioanalytical capabilities for small molecule, antibody drug conjugate, protein, and gene therapy drug development. The LC-MS group quantifies small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides, proteins, and metabolite biomarkers using mass spectrometric and hybridization-LC-fluorescence techniques. This is a fully supervised trainee position involving sample preparation, analysis of drugs and metabolites in biological samples for preclinical and clinical drug development programs under GLP regulations, and documentation of results and observations. The position is 100% based at a QPS office or facility. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent or unrestricted basis; visa sponsorship will not be provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a permanent or unrestricted basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory operations, including sample extraction, reagent preparation, operation of automatic liquid handling equipment, pipetting, weighing, monitoring, and recording, while maintaining a neat and clean work area.
• Assist the Principal Investigator with quantitative analysis of drugs and metabolites in biological samples using validated LC-MS/MS methods under GLP regulations.
• Document experiment details, calculations, results, and observations in accordance with GLPs and SOPs.
• Perform routine calculations using basic math skills.
