About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS), Distribution Business, is seeking an Associate Quality Inspector to join their team in Enfield, CT. This role involves verifying routine product conformance to design requirements, providing objective evidence of results, and managing non-conforming items. The inspector will perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformances, inspect incoming parts/material and outgoing orders, verify correct certifications, and check parts for processing and special orders. Daily use of various measurement tools such as micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, and indicators is required. The position also includes providing mentorship to the Inspection team, conducting dimensional and visual inspections according to design records and AQL levels, and reviewing and dispositioning all certification documentation to meet AS9100 and Company Quality standards, including communication with vendors as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of related work experience using of calipers, ring/pin gages, comparator
• Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints
• Proficient PC skills and use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
• This role requires passing a documented color and near vision exam
• This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

• Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
• Provides objective evidence of results
• Segregates and controls non-conforming items
• Perform preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
• Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, checks special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc.
• Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.
• Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels
• Conducts visual inspections for obvious defects
• Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicate with vendor as needed.
• Disposition and control of on-conforming products.
